EXHIBITIONS & PUBLICATIONS

During my career in photographic post-production, I have had the privilege to collaborate on many prestigious fine art photography books and exhibitions. A selection of these projects are listed here along with a description of my involvement.

More recent projects (2016 & beyond) have been completed as an independent contractor in the areas of retouching and print consultation. Older projects were completed during my tenure at Box, from 2008-2015.

  • UPCOMING: "House Style - Five Centuries of Fashion at Chatsworth" - Published by Skira Rizzoli, April 2017

Collaboration with NR2154 Creative Agency. Principal retoucher of new photographs and restoration of historic imagery.
  • "Taffin - The Jewelry of James Taffin de Givenchy" - Published by Rizzoli, Oct 2016

Collaboration with NR2154 Creative Agency. Principal retoucher of jewelry pieces and Taffin's personal imagery.
  • "Jeweler: Master, Mavericks & Visionaries of Modern Design" - Published by Rizzoli, Sep 2016

Collaboration with NR2154 Creative Agency. Principal retoucher with a focus on creating a cohesive look for all jeweler's images.
  • DOKONOKO Look Book SS17

Collaboration with Brooklyn based independent label Dokonoko. Retouching and print consultation for a very creative and fun custom look book!
  • Adam Bartos, "Darkroom" - Published by SteidlDangin 2012

Credited for Image Work. Retouching and color work for all scanned negatives. RGB-to-CMYK conversions for press printing.
  • Roni Horn, "Hack Wit" - Published by Steidl 2015

Photographic capture of the original artist paintings using a Phase One system. Retouching and RGB-to-CMYK conversions to match original pieces for press printing.
  • Franco Pagetti, "Veiled Aleppo" - Worcester Art Museum Exhibition 2015

Retouching and color work from RAW files. Archival pigment printing of exhibition prints.
  • Philip-Lorca diCorcia, "Hustlers" - David Zwirner Exhibition 2013

For this exhibition I helped develop the unique procedure that exposed image files directly onto 8x10 chromogenic film for analog printing in the darkroom. I also hand-spotted all 40+ prints in the exhibition.
  • Seydou Keïta, "Photographs, Bamako, Mali 1948–1963" - Published by SteidlDangin 2011

Credited for Image Work. Retouching and color work for captured negatives. I was also on-press at Steidl approving color during the printing of the book. Keita's negatives were very old and fragile and required photographic capture rather than traditional scanning. Emphasis was on repairing the images but preserving their integrity.
